A geographic information system includes: a zoom operation reception unit (1) for receiving, in accordance with a zoom operation of a map, the designation of any of a plurality of layers indicative of units of numerical calculation based on geographic regions and a layer indicative of a unit of numerical calculation based on a facility that is an element other than the geographic region; a target data acquisition unit (6) for acquiring data identified by a data identifying unit (5) on the basis of the unit of numerical calculation indicated by the designated layer from among calculation target data stored in a calculation target data storage unit (13); and a visualization unit (7) for performing a predetermined numerical calculation on the acquired data and visualizing and displaying the calculation result on the map. A user only needs to perform a zoom operation to designate a layer and then the result of the numerical calculation based on the layer can be visualized and displayed on the map. |
