摘要 The present invention relates to a remote control walking aid and a method for operating the same wherein a power source is installed on a common walking aid and a walking speed or direction of a user can be adjusted by a remote controller. According to the present invention, the remote control walking aid checks input of a speed control button or a rotation control button, if a wireless controller inputs the speed control button or the rotation control button, generates an operation control signal, and transmits the operation control signal through a wireless communications module. The electric walking aid predetermines a driving speed limit and a rotation radius limit which correspond to a state of a patient, checks whether a patient himself/herself controls driving, if the electric walking aid receives the driving control signal transmitted from the wireless controller through the wireless communications module, to stop the driving and a direction control manipulator, and, at the same time, reads the predetermined driving speed limit and the predetermined rotation radius limit, and controls the corresponding driving within the read driving speed limit and the read rotation radius limit according to the received driving control signal.
