Disclosed herein are methods for recovering a by-product stream of an ethylene oligomerization process, and systematically processing this stream in order to form a polymer composition that can be pelletized conventionally. This polymer composition can have a bimodal molecular weight distribution, which can be characterized by a ratio of the respective peak molecular weights ranging from 400:1 to 2000:1, and further, a liquid component of the polymer composition is in a range from 1 to 35 weight percent. |

a high molecular weight hydrocarbon polymer component and a low molecular weight hydrocarbon oligomer component, wherein a ratio of the Mp of the high molecular weight hydrocarbon polymer component to the Mp of the low molecular weight hydrocarbon oligomer component is in a range from 400:1 to 2000:1; and a liquid component in a range from 1 wt. % to 35 wt. % of the composition, the liquid component comprising saturated hydrocarbon compounds having 16 or less carbon atoms and unsaturated hydrocarbon compounds having 18 or less carbon atoms; wherein the composition has a Mw in range from 25,000 to 250,000 g/mol. |
