SUPPORT FOR SOLAR ENERGY COLLECTORS A sun-tracking photovoltaic solar collector array (11) comprising a plurality of solar devices (14) and a support assembly (18) supporting the solar devices (14) so as to be pivotable about a pivot axis. The support assembly (18) comprising a torque tube (16) supporting the plurality of solar devices (14), the torque tube (16) pivotable about the pivot axis; a bearing housing (250) comprising a bearing support surface (260); and a bearing member (252) connected to the bearing support surface (260), the bearing member (252) comprising a reduced friction surface in sliding contact with an outer surface of the torque tube (16). The torque tube (16) and the bearing member (252) are rotationally decoupled such that, when the torque tube (16) rotates, the bearing member (252) is stationary.
