PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head-mounted display apparatus which allows controlled apparatuses to be operated intuitively.SOLUTION: A transparent head-mounted display apparatus comprises: an image display part which displays a virtual image on the basis of image data and transmits an outside view therethrough; an imaging part which images the outside view; a detector which detects a specific object and a selectable target out of the imaged outside view; and a controller which displays a virtual image associated to the detected target by using the image display part, determines control of the target on the basis of the relation between the positional change of the detected specific object and the position of the detected target, and executes the determined control of the target.
