Provided are: a rubber composition for hoses, which is capable of improving cracking resistance, while ensuring flame retardancy; and a hose. A rubber composition for hoses according to the present invention contains 70 parts by mass or more of a chloroprene rubber in 100 parts by mass of a rubber component, and 45-65 parts by mass of carbon black is blended therein per 100 parts by mass of the rubber component. The carbon black has an iodine adsorption of 20-100 mg/g and a DBP oil absorption of 50-150 mL/100 g. |
