PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode pad being safe for mitigating boring pain in not only a single administration but also repeated administration by verifying a method for mitigating cutaneous irritation (especially, cumulative cutaneous irritation) when percutaneously administering a local anesthetic via iontophoresis.SOLUTION: The electrode pad for iontophoresis includes: a sheet base material 1; an electrode 3 to be disposed on the sheet base material; a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet including an opening and disposed on the sheet base material, with the electrode exposed to the inside of the opening; and a drug reservoir 4 containing a local anesthetic and disposed inside the opening of the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet, with it brought into contact with the electrode. This configuration avoids contact with the skin, with the inner peripheral surface of the opening of the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet 2 brought into contact with the outer peripheral surface of the drub reservoir 4, thereby mitigating the cutaneous irritation. |
