PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology with which an electronic document can be efficiently created in an external terminal.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus (MFP) 10 transmits in advance divided image data 251, 252, and 254 determined to be processing object data for OCR processing to an external terminal 50. The external terminal 50 transmits the divided image data 251, 252, and 254 to a cloud server 90 prior to the completion of reception of the divided image data 251 to 254. The external terminal 50 subsequently creates an electronic document 501 on the basis of the divided image data 251 to 254 and a processing result of an OCR application 121.
