<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pedestrian traffic light having a high contrast between a display part that is lit and display parts that are not lit and capable of performing a high-quality display. <P>SOLUTION: A pedestrian signal unit includes: a mask having a first display part that has a shape representing right/wrong of traversing, and a plurality of second display parts; a first light source for applying light to the first display part; and a plurality of second light sources provided corresponding to each of the second display parts and independently controlled to light. The pedestrian signal unit further includes a housing that is composed of a light-shielding member and has a light guide areas partitioned for every second light source, and the second light sources apply light to the corresponding second display parts via the respective light guide areas. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
