The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a secondary battery to simplify a manufacturing process. The method includes a step of preparing a cap plate which accommodates an electrode assembly and seals a case having an open side, a step of forming a short part and a vent part in the cap plate, a step of performing a first thermal process on the short part, and a step of performing a second thermal process on the vent part. The secondary battery manufactured by the above-mentioned manufacturing method is economical by simplifying the manufacturing process and reducing manufacturing costs. |
