PURPOSE:In a paper feeder to be employed in a facsimile, to protect the paper feeding operation from an obstacle, by detecting a paper adhered to a metal and removing said paper. CONSTITUTION:When a paper adhered to a metal has come beneath a detector 11, the adhesion of a metal chip is detected by a detector 11 then the detected signal is fed to a stopper device for a paper moving device 1 thus to stop said device 1 immediately. Consequently the jamming can be eliminated to prevent the damage of rolls 4, 6, 8, 9 thus to prevent the shortening of the service life of a paper feeder thereby the original document can be protected from the damage or defect of missing. |
