The present invention provides a user interface controlling apparatus which promotes user convenience by adjusting a location or arrangement of a user interface displayed on a screen, and a user interface controlling method thereof. According to the present invention, the controlling method of the user interface controlling apparatus includes the following steps: detecting a location of a user hand; determining whether or not the arrangement of a user interface is appropriate, according to the detected location of the hand; and changing the arrangement of the user interface for the user interface to be located proximately to the location of the hand which the user interface detected.
