PURPOSE:To count printed matter accurately by providing a relief groove in a flank of a blow-out outlet and then measuring variation in pressure generated when pressurized air is blown while folding printed matter is run at specified pitch. CONSTITUTION:Folding printed matter 1 is run, as shown by an arrow, at specified pitch by a drum 5 between upper and lower carriers 2 and 3 forming a curved surface, and pressurized air is blown out of a blow-off outlet 4a. A triangular gap 1c is formed of the blow-off surface 4, the folding part 1a of the printed matter 1, and the bag surface of next printed matter 1 every time the printed matter 1 is passed, and variation in pressure of the pressurized air is caused at every time. Part of the pressurized air is discharged even from a relief groove made in the side part of a spouting opening 4a to accelerate the variation in pressure. This variation is led to a pressure sensor 22 via a pipe 21 to be detected. Thus, the number of passed sheets of printed matter 1 are counted accurately. |
