[Class 75 (ii).] A prismatic glass for street and like lamps comprises smooth sections S, S<1> which reflect light normally into the required directions D, D<1> and sections which reflect and refract light towards these directions. The outer surface of the glass may be smooth and silvered, or provided with totally reflecting prisms, and the inner surface provided with refracting prisms P, or the outer surface may be provided with silvered prisms P<1> for reflecting and refracting the light, and the inner surface left smooth or provided with supplementary prisms or flutes. The prisms may be arranged in groups according to their angles and some or all of them may be inclined.
