The present invention relates to a head-expandable pile and a construction method thereof, capable of highly increasing the allowable bearing capacity of the pile by forming a pile expansion part while quickly cutting the ground around a pile head by expanding in various beds using a simple device instead of an expanding drill. The head-expandable pile comprises: a pile body; and a diameter expanding unit coupled to the lower part of the pile body and having a diameter expanded by a pressing body while rotating with the rotation of the pile body. The diameter expanding unit comprises: a base member; a guide pipe integrally protruding from the top center of the base member and having an upper part opened to allow the pressing body to enter into the upper part and multiple access holes on the outer circumference; coupling members to fixate the guide pipe inside the pile body; and expandable bodies arranged between the base member and the lower part of the pile body and having a wing part with a cut unit on the outer surface and a pressing part to expand the wing part to the outside while being slid to the outside of the guide pipe by the press of the pressing body. |
