<p>An upholstery fabric made from a double-warp cloth in which a first warp thread and a second warp thread having mutually different colors and a weft thread are organized at a predetermined weave density, wherein the first warp thread forms a first surface of the fabric and the second warp thread forms a second surface on the side opposite to the first surface of the fabric. With the progression of fraying of the first warp thread by way of friction generated on the first surface, which is the front side of the fabric, the color or pattern of the first surface changes and the exposure of the second warp thread to the front side increases. Thus, an upholstery fabric can be provided that does not use a special synthetic fiber and can have a longer life for practical use than those of the past without deterioration in aesthetic appearance.</p> |
