According to the present invention, disclosed is an apparatus for opening and closing a vehicle door. The apparatus may comprise: a wireless signal transmitting and receiving unit transmitting a wireless signal to the outside and receiving a response of a user recognition means which receives the transmitted wireless signal; a sound recognition unit recognizing sound which a user transmits; and a control unit controlling the wireless signal transmitting and receiving unit and the sound recognition unit, driving the sound recognition unit in case an identity of a user is discovered through the response of the user recognition means which is received from the wireless signal transmitting and receiving unit, and controlling a door drive unit to open a vehicle door in case the sound recognized through the sound recognition unit is predefined sound. |
