<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an additive for food and drink, which can maintain the original flavor balances of the food and drink, can impart such a rich smell as remembering various kinds of natural raw materials themselves, and can reinforce the characteristic flavor of the natural raw material, and to provide an additive composition for food and drink, containing the same, and to provide food and drink. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided the additive for the food and drink, comprising a 4-methyl-3-alkenoic acid represented by general formula (I) or a mixture of the alkenoic acid with a 4-methyl-2-alkenoic acid represented by general formula (II) (wherein R<SB POS="POST">1</SB>to R<SB POS="POST">3</SB>are as described in the specification); and the additive composition for the food and drink containing the same; and the food and drink. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
