The present invention relates to an organic electroluminescent device and a method for fabricating the same. According to an aspect of the present invention provides an organic electroluminescent device which includes a color filter located on a side of a first substrate where a pixel region is defined, an oxide thin film transistor which is located on the color filter or located on a side different from the side of the first substrate, and an organic light emitting diode which corresponds to the pixel region and is formed on the oxide thin film transistor.
