<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems on the reduction of light emission efficiency caused by the increase of color temperature and on the use of mercury, an environmental load substance, while increasing the efficiency in controlling melatonin and improving the biological effects such as adjustment of bio-rhythm; and to solve a problem on the color rendition of an ultrahigh color temperature lamp, which is a weakness of impairment of visibility (chroma) of red and green. <P>SOLUTION: The LED illumination light source 100 includes at least one LED chip 106, and has optical color whose correlated color temperature exceeds 7,100 [K] and lower than 20,000 [K] and whose Duv is in the range from -2.5 to 5.
