发明名称 Improvements in or relating to the colouration of textile and other materials
摘要 In the colouration of textile materials made of or containing cellulose esters or ethers, a lubricating or softening agent in the form of an amide or N-substituted amide, other than an oxyalkylamide, of a carboxylic acid containing more than four carbon atoms, which amide is neither a colouring matter nor an azo dye component, is applied to the materials before, during, or after the colouration. The incorporation of acidylaminophenol ethers and of acidylated brominated aromatic amines as described in Specifications 312,606, [Class 2 (iii), Dyes &c.], and 319,073, [Class 2 (ii), Cellulose &c.], respectively, is disclaimed. Specified amides are the amides N-alkylamides and substituted N-alkyl amides of lauric, myristic, stearic, palmitic, oleic, and other saturated or unsaturated higher fatty acids, e.g. oleic acid amide, methylamide, or ethylamide, undecylenic acid diethylamide, and acidylated diamines of the general formula RR2N-R1-N-R3R4 in which R is an aliphatic or aromatic acidyl group containing more than four carbon atoms, R1 is an aliphatic residue, and R2, R3, R4 are hydrogen or aliphatic groups. The groups R2, R3, R4 may carry substituents, R1 may be a chain of carbon atoms or of carbon and other atoms, e.g. nitrogen, and the groups R3 and R4 may together form part of a cyclic radicle such as piperidyl. Specified acidylated diamines are oleyldimethyl-, oleyldiethyl-, and palmityldiethyl-ethylenediamines, oleyl-o -amino-N-ethylpiperidine, and oleyl-b : b -diaminodiethylamine. The amides may be applied in admixture with the ureas, thioureas, or guanidines referred to in Specification 340,572, [Group IV], or with the alkylated aminodiaryl bases referred to in Specification 340,541, [Group IV]. They may also be applied in concentrated liquid forms, in solution, e.g. in volatile alcohols, esters, hydrocarbons, or chlorinated hydrocarbons or as aqueous dispersions or emulsions. Such dispersions or emulsions may be obtained by mechanical means, by dissolving in solvents and pouring into a precipitating medium containing a protective colloid such as an aqueous solution of gelatin or casein, or by the use of turkey-red oil or of the dispersing agents referred to in Specifications 219,349, [Class 2 (iii), Dyes &c.], 224,925, 242,393, 242,711, 269,960, 273,819, [all in Class 1 (i), Chemical processes &c.], 273,820, [Class 2 (iii), Dyes &c.], and 323,788, [Class 1 (i), Chemical processes &c.].ALSO:Cellulose esters or ethers, dyeing; dye preparations; textiles, treating with liquids.-In the production of coloured textile materials or films made of or containing cellulose esters or ethers an amide or N-substituted amide, other than an oxyalkylamide, of a carboxylic acid containing more than four carbon atoms, which amide is neither a colouring matter nor an azo dye component, is applied to the materials before, during, or after the colouration. The incorporation of acidylaminophenol ethers and of acidylated brominated aromatic amines, as described in Specifications 312,606, [Class 2 (iii), Dyes &c.], and 319,073, [Class 2 (ii), Cellulose &c.], respectively, is disclaimed. The amides serve as lubricants or softeners which have no deleterious effect on the fastness of the colourations and in the use of aminoanthraquinone colouring matters they improve the fastness to light in presence of acid. Specified amides are the amides N-alkylamides, and substituted N-alkylamides of lauric, myristic, stearic, palmitic, oleic, and other saturated or unsaturated higher fatty acids, e.g. oleic acid amide, methylamide, or ethylamide, undecylenic acid diethylamide, and acidylated diamines of the general formula RR2N-R1-N-R3R4 in which R is an aliphatic or aromatic acidyl group containing more than four carbon atoms, R1 is an aliphatic residue, and R2, R3, R4 are hydroge or aliphatic groups. The groups R, R1, R2, R3, R4 may carry substituents, R1 may be a chain of carbon atoms or of carbon and other atoms, e.g. nitrogen, and the groups R3 and R4 may together form part of a cyclic radicle such as piperidyl. Specified acidylated diamines are oleyldimethyl-oleyldiethyl and palmityldiethyl-ethylenediamines, oleyl-o -amino-N-ethylpiperidine, and oleyl-b : b -diaminodiethylamine. The application of the amides to the materials may be effected in conjunction with the application or incorporation, simultaneously or otherwise, of the ureas, thioureas, or guanidines referred to in Specification 340,572 or of the alkylated aminodiaryl bases referred to in Specification 340,541. The amides may be incorporated with the cellulose esters or ethers prior to their conversion into filament or other form, e.g. by adding them to the spinning solutions, or they may be applied to the yarns, threads, or fabrics in the concentrated liquid form, in solution, e.g. in volatile alcohols, esters, hydrocarbons, or chlorinated hydrocarbons, or as aqueous dispersions or emulsions obtained e.g. by mechanical means, by dissolving in solvents and pouring into a precipitating medium containing a protective colloid such as an aqueous solution of gelatin or casein, or by the use of turkey-red oil or of the dispersing agents referred to in Specifications 219,349, 224,925, 242,393, 242,711, 269,960, 273,819, 273,820, and 323,788, [all in Class 2 (iii), Dyes &c.]. The strongly basic amides may be applied in aqueous acid solution. Dyestuffs may be incorporated in the amide emulsions or dispersions used. The application to yarns or threads may be effected simultaneously with textile operations such as winding or twisting or simultaneously with the manufacture of the filaments, e.g. by adding the amides to the spinning solutions. The following examples are specified: (1) A fabric of cellulose acetate yarns is dyed for 1-1 1/2 hrs. at 75-80 DEG C. in a bath containing 1 : 4-di(monomethylamino)anthraquinone, turkey-red oil, and a dispersion of oleyldimethylethylenediamine in turkey-red oil. (2) A fabric of cellulose acetate yarns dyed with 1 : 4-di(monoethanolamino)anthraquinone is treated with an aqueous liquor containing a dispersion of palmityldiethylethylenediamine in turkey-red oil, hydroextracted without rinsing, dried, and finished. (3) A cellulose acetate fabric is dyed as in (1) with the replacement of the amide by oleic acid amide. (4) Cellulose acetate yarn is lubricated, immediately after spinning and prior to winding, with oleic acid methylamide without admixture or dilution, e.g. by passing it over pads or wicks to which the amide is supplied, and the yarn or fabric prepared from it is subsequently coloured with the dyestuff of example (1). Oleyldimethylethylenediamine if obtained by heating oleic acid with unsymmetrical dimethylethylenediamine under pressure. Palmityldiethylethylenediamine is obtained by reaction of palmityl chloride with unsymmetrical diethylethylenediamine. Oleic acid methylamide, oleic acid ethylamide and oleyl-b : b -diaminoldiethylamine are obtained by reaction of methylamine, ethylamine, and b : b -diaminodiethylamine respectively with an oleic acid glyceride or oleyl chloride. Undecylenic acid diethylamide is obtained by reaction of undecylenyl chloride with diethylamine.
