<p>A method is disclosed for reeling or unreeling a pipeline 6 having an inner corrosion resistant metallic liner that is tightly fitted within the pipeline 6. To minimise or avoid wrinkling of the liner during the reeling or unreeling, a length of the pipeline is internally pressurised, by deploying a single sealing pig 41, fig 4, within the pipeline 6 near to the trailing end of the pipeline 6 and applying pressurised fluid within the pipeline 6, and then the length of pipeline is reeled or unreeled. In the pressurising process, the length of the pipeline 6 is filled with fluid at an elevated pressure between a lower limit of 5 bar absolute and an upper limit that is less than 25 bar absolute.</p> |
