An HVDC system of the present invention comprises: at least one first DC switch; a controller for controlling the first DC switch based on switch state information about whether an alarm is generated from the first DC switch and whether a current in the first DC switch is conductively connected; and a second DC switch connected to the first DC switch in series. One DC switch of the first and second DC switches is in an active state and the other one DC switch is in a standby state. The HVDC system prevents accidents by efficiently controlling the DC switches. |
