Interfacing a cellular network with a service manager logically separate from the cellular network and controlling a service provided to at least one of a plurality of subscriber terminals is provided. Information is received in one format and communicated in another format. The received information may be from the service manager, being indicative of the service resource and/or performance requirements, and communicated to a network functions module of the cellular network to permit it to interpret the information indicative of the resource and/or performance requirements, so that it may be configured to operate dependent upon the requirements of the service. Alternatively, the received information may be from the network functions module, being indicative of radio link quality and communicated to the service manager to permit it to interpret the information indicative of the radio link quality, so that service resource and/or performance requirements may be configured on that basis. |
