A wind turbine power generating apparatus includes: at least one blade (4); a hub (3) to which the at least one blade is mounted rotatably; and a spinner (2) disposed so as to cover the hub, the spinner including a tubular part (21) which extends around a rotational axis (O) of the hub and which has an opening (22) through which the blade extends. The tubular part of the spinner has a shape such that, when an intersection of the tubular part (21) and a virtual cylinder (30) surrounding the opening and extending along a blade root (4a) of the blade is projected on a plane (M) including an axis (P) of the blade and the rotational axis (O), a projection line (32) of the intersection is within a range defined by a reference line (36) connecting opposite ends (40, 42) of the projection line (32) and a reference curve (34) which is an intersection line, projected on the plane, of the virtual cylinder (30) and a locus of the reference line (36) rotating about the rotational axis (O). |
