<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam generator using a two-kind absorption heat pump which not only can make COP a high value but also locks a compressor by the attachment of a scale component and does not corrode the compressor by a corrosion component. <P>SOLUTION: The steam generator includes a two-kind absorption heat pump 5 which generates the first steam of predetermined pressure from heat source water; and a steam compression heat pump 8 which includes an evaporator 6 which absorbs heat from the first steam and a condenser 7 which generates the second steam of pressure higher than the first steam.
