The present invention relates to an exercise apparatus which enables a user to perform exercise as a right load unit and a left load unit independently impose loads on a right body contact unit and a left body contact unit, respectively, and the right body contact unit and the left body contact unit reciprocate from a reference location within a predetermined reciprocal movement section. The exercise apparatus receives a sensing signal from a sensing unit installed to sense the sizes of the loads, imposed on the right load unit and the left load unit, and movement ranges in the reciprocal movement section of the right body contact unit and the left body contact unit. The exercise apparatus outputs a stored exercise guide video to a display unit to display a video about the sizes of the loads imposed on the right load unit and the left load unit and exercise movement for the exercise apparatus through an exercise guide avatar. According to the present invention, provided is the exercise apparatus, which outputs the video with the avatar character providing a proper exercise posture and a proper exercise method with respect to the exercise apparatus and enables a user, who performs exercise by using the exercise apparatus, to perform exercise while learning the proper exercise posture and the proper exercise method by watching the exercise guide video output on the display unit (130). |
