MOVING ASSIST DEVICE, MOVING ASSIST METHOD, AND DRIVE ASSIST SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving assist device and a moving assist method capable of further improving fuel economy at a destination in a travel route, and a drive assist system including the moving assist function.SOLUTION: A moving assist device assists a vehicle including an internal combustion engine and a motor as drive sources in moving from a current location to a destination. The moving assist device comprises: a mode planning unit planning a travel mode for each interval to either an EV mode in which a power storage capacity of a battery is not maintained or an HV mode in which the power storage capacity of the battery is maintained; and a mode control unit controlling the travel mode in each interval of a travel route on the basis of the planned travel mode by the planning unit. The mode control unit controls the travel mode in an interval including the current position to the EV mode until the remaining capacity of the battery is zero irrespectively of the planning of the travel mode by the mode planning unit if a current remaining capacity of the battery is smaller than a remaining capacity of the battery necessary to travel in the EV mode in the entire interval including the current location.
