PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus enabling intensity information and phase information to be visualized at the same time: and to provide an image processing apparatus.SOLUTION: A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus includes: a sequence control part 30; and an image generation part included in an MRI data processor 42. The sequence control part 30 performs UTE (Ultrashort Echo Time) imaging to collect phase images and intensity images. The image generation part synthesizes an image where first color phase chromatic series are allocated to the phase image, and an image where second color phase chromatic series as a color phase different from the first color phase are allocated to the intensity image to generate a composite image.
