PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machining power supply device of an electric discharge machining machine capable of preventing variation of charge voltage of a capacitor without causing the deterioration of a machining speed.SOLUTION: A figure for illustrating a movement of a machining electric power source device 1 of an electric discharge machining machine when a capacitor pulse electric power source is used is provided. At the beginning of a cycle, a semiconductor switching element S1 is turned on and a DC voltage source V is connected to the capacitor C during a period of T1, and the capacitor C is charged. T1 is a time during which the capacitor C is satisfactorily charged, and is preset beforehand. The semiconductor switching element S1 is turned off, at the same time, a semiconductor switching element S3 is turned on and the charged capacitor C is connected in parallel to between an electrode 2 and a pole of a workpiece 3. When an interval between poles is satisfactorily small, an electric discharge is generated at a time point, a charge stored on the capacitor C is discharged to between the poles, and the workpiece 3 is removed and worked. |
