PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to use a metal ring of width sufficient for hermetic seal even if the end face of an opening part of a container body forming a cavity is narrow.SOLUTION: An end face of the opening part 11 of a container body 1 is provided with an upper castellation 9a having an opening of small area in this end face. A rear face of the container body 1 is provided with a lower castellation 9b of an area larger than that of the opening of the upper castellation 9a, such that these castellations communicate with each other. In the castellation 9 composed of the upper castellation 9a and the lower castellation 9b, a side electrode 10 serving as an inspection terminal for a crystal oscillator is formed only on the internal face of the lower castellation 9b. |
