PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an Imaging apparatus that improves visibility of an area of attention by controlling resolution in accordance with a size of the area of attention in an imaging apparatus capable of outputting a picture signal of low resolution by converting resolution of an image photographed by a high-resolution sensor.SOLUTION: The Imaging apparatus extracts an area of attention from a picture signal photographed by an imaging part, determines each resolution of an area of attention in accordance with a size of the extracted area of attention, the number of areas, and distances, and converts resolution of image data of the area of attention.
