PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightning suppression arrester in which heat proof temperature can be enhanced, while ensuring the insulation performance and strength of an insulator coupling upper and lower electrode bodies sufficiently.SOLUTION: A lightning suppression arrester includes an upper electrode body 11, a lower electrode body 12, and an insulator 13 provided therebetween. The insulator 13 has a cylindrical insulator 14 arranged between the upper electrode body 11 and lower electrode body 12, and a cover member 15 arranged around the cylindrical insulator 14. The cylindrical insulator has an upper rib 14a and a lower rib 14b, and joined to the upper electrode body 11 and lower electrode body 12, respectively, by screwing holding metal fittings which respectively engage with these ribs. |
