An extra high voltage DC transmission system according to the embodiment of the present invention includes a plurality of first power conversion devices to transmit the converted DC power to a second power conversion device by converting AC power to the DC power and a plurality of second power conversion devices to convert the DC power received from the first power conversion devices into the AC power. Each first power conversion device transmits a response request signal to each second power conversion device, and transmits a control signal which is a basis of a control operation of each second power conversion device to each second power conversion device based on a response signal corresponding to the transmitted response request signal. Each second power conversion device is operated based on the control signal. |
