PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing antifungal acrylic fiber industrially stably, the fiber having antifungal performance which can be utilized in housing, sleeping, and clothing-related sectors such as a carpet, and which, even when blended with other synthetic fiber, provides yarn having good feeling and firmness.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for producing acrylic fiber to obtain acrylic fiber having a single filament fineness of 0.5 dtex or more and 3.3 dtex or less, comprising: adding crystalline particulates to an acrylic polymer solution; discharging the same into a coagulation liquid through a nozzle hole to form a coagulated fiber; washing the coagulated fiber with a washing liquid; and drying. The crystalline particulates are crystalline particulates carrying silver, having a median diameter of 1 μm or more and a 90% cumulative particle diameter of 5 μm or less. An amount of the particulates added to the acrylic polymer solution is 0.2 mass% or more and 3 mass% or less relative to a total amount of a polymer in the polymer solution and the particulates. The pH of the washing liquid is set in a range of 6 to 8. |
