<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expandable thermoplastic resin particle that is appropriate for preliminary foam and molding at the low temperature. <P>SOLUTION: The expandable thermoplastic resin particle includes a thermoplastic resin in which the monomer composition includes: at least 95 wt.% and at most 99 wt.% of styrene; at least 1 wt.% and at most 5 wt.% of an acrylate, and is characterized in that the absorbance ratioα(A<SB POS="POST">1730</SB>/A<SB POS="POST">696</SB>) at 696 cm<SP POS="POST">-1</SP>and 1,730 cm<SP POS="POST">-1</SP>obtained from the infrared absorption spectrum of the thermoplastic resin preliminary foam particle surface measured by ATR-FTIR is made at least 1.0 time and at most 10 times of the absorbance ratioβ(A<SB POS="POST">1730</SB>/A<SB POS="POST">696</SB>) obtained from the infrared absorption spectrum obtained of the thermoplastic resin preliminary foam particle center. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
