<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferrite particle provided with high electrostatic chargeability and high strength. <P>SOLUTION: The ferrite particle includes a material expressed by a compositional formula: (MxFe<SB POS="POST">3</SB>-x)O<SB POS="POST">4</SB>(wherein, M is at least one metal element selected from a group consisting of Fe, Mg, Mn, Ti, Cu, Zn, Sr and Ni; 0≤X<1) as a main component, and Ca element and P element are incorporated. The content of the Ca element is in a range of 0.45-1.0 by weight ratio to the content of P element. Here, from a viewpoint for furthermore improving the high electrostatic chargeability and the high strength, it is preferable that the total content of the Ca element and the P element is in a range of≤5,000 ppm. In addition, the Ca element and the P element preferably mainly exist in the same position.
