The present invention relates to a voice recognition broadcasting apparatus using a smart remote controller, and a method for controlling the same. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method for controlling a voice recognition broadcasting apparatus using a smart remote controller comprises the following steps: receiving a runtime resource for voice recognition from a voice recognition server; receiving a voice signal from the smart remote controller; recognizing the voice signal based on the received runtime resource; transmitting a recognition result of the voice signal to the smart remote controller; receiving, from the smart remote controller, at least one from search information on an electronic program guide (EPG) based on the recognition result and control information of the voice recognition broadcasting apparatus; and outputting a search screen based on the search information on the EPG or the control information on the voice recognition broadcasting apparatus, or controlling the voice recognition broadcasting apparatus. |
