PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly monitor a person, on the basis of three-dimensional motion of a human body, while protecting privacy of the person to be monitored.SOLUTION: A remote monitoring system includes: a motion sensor (multi-viewpoint motion capturing device 12) for detecting motion of at least skeleton of a person 10 to be monitored; transmission means (Internet 30) for transmitting information (skeleton image 10B) including the skeleton motion obtained in the motion sensor (12) to a remote place; avatar image forming means (server 40 and monitoring-side PC 50) which superimposes a body image on the information (10B) including the skeleton obtained in the motion sensor (12), on the input side, at the middle, or on the output side of the transmission means (30), to form a three-dimensional animation image 10C using a human avatar; and display means (monitored-side PC 50) for displaying the human-avatar three-dimensional animation image 10C formed in the avatar image forming means (40 and 50) to a monitoring person 60 at the remote place. |
