PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the consumption of electric power by an image-capturing device in cases when a subject is image-captured several times at set time intervals.SOLUTION: The present invention is an image-capturing device with which it is possible to set a first mode in which images are captured several times at set time intervals, the image-capturing device comprising state change means capable of changing the operation state of the image-capturing device to a first state in which a subject can be image-captured or a second state in which the consumption of electric power is smaller than in the first state, and light-emission determination means for determining whether or not the light emission of the light-emission means is prohibited. When the image-capturing device is set to the first mode and it is determined that light emission by the light-emission means is prohibited by the light-emission determination means, the state change means begins an operation for changing, to the first state, the operation state of the image-capturing device which has been changed from the first state to the second state after the subject was image-captured, on the basis of information pertaining to the timing with which the subject is image-captured. |
