PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent fixation failure and minimize a system stop even when fixing error is detected.SOLUTION: Fixation control on an electrophotographic image forming apparatus includes: measuring the amount of change in voltage value of an AC power source when inrush current flows into a thermal-fixing heater during warm-up; and detecting a failure of the AC power source according to the measured amount of change in voltage value of the AC power source, to change fixation control. |
