<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately identify whether a body is an object or not, even it is an object existing far away of which resolution is reduced. <P>SOLUTION: In the object identification device, an evaluation point group extraction part 22 acquires observation data observed by a laser radar 12, projects each of a plurality of points on bodies around a vehicle to a three-dimensional space on the basis of the observation data, groups the projected points on the basis of inter-point distances thereof, and extracts a point group included in a group having a size corresponding to the size of an object as an evaluation point group. A slice feature amount, which indicates change in the height direction of the distribution of the extracted evaluation point group in a horizontal plane, is calculated by a feature amount calculation part 24, and is compared with identification information stored in an identification information storage part 26 to identify whether the body shown by the extracted evaluation point group is the object or not. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
