<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-wheel motor that reduces energy loss. <P>SOLUTION: An electric vehicle drive device 10 includes a first motor 11, a second motor 12, a transmission mechanism 13, a speed reducing mechanism 40, and a clutch device 60. A first planetary gear mechanism 20 of the transmission mechanism 13 is a single-pinion planetary gear device. A second planetary gear mechanism 30 of the transmission mechanism 13 is a double-pinion planetary gear device.
