PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform video monitoring even during area distance measurement.SOLUTION: A range that is as wide as to include a distance measurement range at all the time is captured in response to movement of an imaging section 7 with distance measurement by a distance measurement section 6. A video image within the distance measurement range is segmented from among video images which are captured when starting the distance measurement by the distance measurement section 6. It is determined whether the imaging section 7 is positioned at a turning point in a direction of movement during the distance measurement by the distance measurement section. A video image within the distance measurement range is segmented from among the video images which are captured in the case where it is determined that the imaging section 7 is positioned at the turning point. The segmented video image is magnified to a size for display on an external device, such that a still picture is generated. |
