A method for controlling a high voltage direct current transmission system according to an embodiment of the present invention includes the steps of: allowing a first power conversion device to transmit a response request signal to second power conversion devices; allowing the second power conversion devices to transmit a response signal corresponding to the transmitted response request signal to the first power conversion device; allowing the first power conversion device to generate a control signal corresponding to the second power conversion devices based on the response signal; allowing the first power conversion device to transmit the generated signal to each of the second power conversion devices; and allowing each of the second power conversion devices to operate based on the control signal. |
