PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable stable printing and miniaturization of an image formation apparatus.SOLUTION: An image formation apparatus comprises: a conveyance unit 17 for conveying a long medium in which a plurality of conveyance indexes are applied at predetermined conveyance index intervals; a printing unit for performing printing to the medium; a cutter unit 71 for cutting the medium; an index detection part for detecting the conveyance indexes; a printing control part for performing the printing by driving the printing unit in accordance with the detection of the conveyance indexes; and a conveyance control part 32 for forming slack of the medium by driving the conveyance unit 17. The printing control part performs the printing on the basis of a virtual conveyance index when the medium in which the slack has been formed is cut. Because the printing is performed on the basis of the virtual conveyance index, it is possible to print stably. |
