PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a communication load on a network.SOLUTION: A storage system 1 connects a plurality of storage control devices 3 via a network 2. Each storage control device 3 comprises a control unit 5, and connects a control object storage device 4. The control unit 5 obtains data 6 used for recovery of a fault occurring at the control object storage device 4 (first storage device) from another storage control device 3, and if a fault is occurring at the storage device 4 (second storage device) controlled by the other storage control device 3, generates recovery data 7 used for recovery of the second storage device from the data 6 used for recovery of the first storage device, and gives notice of the recovery data 7 to the other storage control device 3 controlling the second storage device at which the fault is occurring. |
