摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily producing potassium titanate having a high single-phase rate and a reduced content of a fibrous material.SOLUTION: The method for producing potassium titanate comprises: a mixing step of mixing a titanium raw material and a potassium raw material comprising a potassium compound by using a vibration mill, the titanium raw material obtained by blending 0 to 60 mass% of titanium oxide having a specific surface area of 1 to 2 m/g, 40 to 100 mass% of titanium oxide having a specific surface area of 7 to 200 m/g, and 0 to 4.5 mass% of one or more selected from metal titanium and titanium hydride; a calcination step of calcining a raw material mixture obtained in the mixing step at a calcination temperature of 1150 to 1400°C; and a pulverization step of pulverizing calcined powder obtained in the calcination step by means of one or more selected from a vibration mill and an impact type grinder.
