PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emergency stop device for an elevator that can promptly stop a car to open a door by the intention of a passenger when an abnormal behavior occurs.SOLUTION: An emergency stop device for an elevator includes: an image acquisition section 11 for acquiring an image of a passenger within in a car 4; an abnormal behavior detection section 12 for detecting an abnormal behavior of the passenger from the image acquired by the image acquisition section 11; an operating section 15 that can be operated by the passenger within the car 4; and a control section 16 for issuing an instruction to bring the car 4 to an emergency stop on the nearest floor to open a door of the car 4 when the operation of the operating section 15 is detected while the abnormal behavior detection section 12 is detecting an abnormal behavior. |
