ANIMAL RESTRAINT DEVICE AND METHOD

An animal restraint device for restraining an animal and administering medications to the animal, the device comprising a curved body, at least one handle disposed on the curved body, an administration tube connected to the curved body, an opposing hook portion formed at an end of the device opposite of the administration tube, the opposing hook portion including a curved portion having a curvature opposite to a curvature of the curved body. The administration tube forms a passageway through which medications are administered and the passageway is separated from the curved body at an angle. This angle between the administration tube and body provides an adequate offset orientation for the user to be positioned away from the animal a safe distance, yet the user can easily apply a necessary force to elicit a pause response from the animal. The invention also relates to uses of the device.
